GUIDE TO REGISTRATION AND CHECKING-IN

I. REGISTRATION
ESL is world's largest, independent eSports brand, leading the industry across various games with numerous online and offline competitions. This includes high profile international and national leagues and tournaments such as the Intel® Extreme Masters, ESL One, ESL Pro Series, Starcraft® II World Championship Series, as well as grassroots amateur cups, leagues and matchmaking systems. Registration and Participation in these grassroots Ladders and Leagues are for free. This is how you register:
- What you need
You need a valid e-Mail address. The other option would be a fast and comfortable login via Facebook. Just click on the Login/Register button or Facebook Login Button.
- Click on Login/Register
Afterwards there will pop up a window. In this window you can log in or if you don’t have a ESL account register a new account. Otherwise click on the link below “Register your free account here”.
- Fill out the registration form
On the last page you can create your own ESL account. You need to have a valid e-Mail address, your Nickname and your gender. The security code (against spam bots) need to be verified, please read and acknowledge our usage and data protection terms and conditions. If everything is done the last step will be the "Submit" button.
- Confirm your registration
When the data is submitted you will receive a e-Mail with your automatically generated Password. You can Log in with this password and participate in our Leagues and Cups.
Hint: It is possible that your e-Mail provider will sort out our automatic generated Mails as Spam. Please take a look in your Spam folder.

II. SIGN UP INTO A CUP/LADDER
- Choose your game
On the starting page you can find your game in "Choose Game" on the franchise page. There you can choose between the editions if there are a choice between platforms.
- Gameinfos
The important game infos will be displayed beneath. All information will be announced here (News, upcoming Cups, important Links for Social Media, Forums and many more)
- **How to sign up for a cup?
To participate in a cup you need to choose one cup out of the list and sign up for it. On the left side there is the date and the starting time, in the mid for which console or PC and on the right side the name and the direct link to the tourney page. It is also possible to navigate via the menu on the top.

Time to select or make your team.
In case you already have a team, just select it. In case you have no team to sign up yet, make one and invite other players.
You can share your team with other players by sending them the team link. You are always able to see the current state of your team. As soon as you have 3 players with an entered BattleTag® in your team are you ready to sign up for the tournament. Click on Sign up to show your interest for the cup.
Now you have to confirm that you read the rules of the cup. Now you have signed up for this cup. If something changes with this cup you will be notified via e-Mail. Also you will be notified a couple of minutes beforehand. There is just one last step until you will play your first eSports match.
III. CHECK-IN
20 minutes before the cup actually starts you have to confirm with a “Check-in” that you are there and available. With the Check-in you will get a reserved spot in the tournament bracket aswell we got the information that everybody has a valid opponent. Just click on the Check-in Button when it turns from grey to blue.
IV. PLAYING A CUP
Tournament bracket and contact your opponent
After the Check-in phase there will be a tournament bracket. You will find it in the top in the menu “Bracket”. The bracket shows your next opponent and also how many matches until the final match. Now you have to contact your opponent which is easily found on the right side.
With the click on your opponents name you will be forwarded to the match profile. There will be all informations to your match. Time frame as well as your opponent an his game account etc.
The most used function to contact your opponent is the commentary function on the site (Screenshot) or the match chat at the bottom right bar "Matches". The advantage of this function is that the admin can interact with you through this comment function and solve your problems. But it is allowed to contact your opponent via other communication channels.
Enter the Results?
After the match you need to enter the result in the menu “Match Setup” that will complete the match

FAQ's
When is the DQ time?
DQ time is 30 minutes after the scheduled time of each round. Do not submit any results/dispute before DQ time start
My opponent is asking to delay more than 30 minutes and we don't mind. Is it ok?
No. All teams shouldn't delay the match more than 30 minutes. Remember the next round DQ time is 30 minutes after the schedule. Make sure you finish your match before the next round DQ time. If your opponent late more than 30 minutes, just claim your free win via result form
My opponent cheating! What should i do?
Use the results form and fill in the dispute section in details with proof and screenshot
How to decide Radiant and Dire?
Team in the upper bracket of the match up is radiant. First pick in lobby should be set random
